Hello everyone this is Dwayne Ferguson from Virtual Training Company and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on Adobe Illustrator CS4. Well a lot has changed in Illustrator from it's responsiveness to its interface and we also talked about the exciting new tools such as the Blah Brush and the completely revamped Gradient Tool. Talked about how to actually do several things in Illustrator from using things in the menu such as arrange to bring to fronts and the back to complicated things such as Clipping Masks and Compound Paths, although they are not really quite that complicated because they are available to you. We also talked about how to use the Pen Tool which is pretty daunting to a lot of people and in conjunction with the Pen Tool we spoke about its buddies. So we can manipulate anchor points in several different ways, from adding to deleting to converting. Now of course one of my favorite things that we did talk about was the Blah Brush which we covered but I think it's a really innovative technology and I hope they continue with this so that you can work more quickly without having to think too hard. So that you can just simply connect elements together and have Illustrator just go ahead and snap them together so you can move them around and manipulate them at anytime. We also did a couple of really cool projects such as our Go Detergent and I was really happy to take you through that process as if though you were hired by an Art Director. So that you learned the inner workings of how to accept an assignment and carry it to completion with research and sketching and then slowly but surely experimenting even while building it inside of Illustrator. I also showed you how to do quite a few things from adding glows and how you can really, if you take your time create something as complicated as this mask. Believe it or not you guys all have the skills now to do something just like this. All it is is a bunch of layers and overlapping paths. So we talked about that but by the way you don't see these layers because this is a pretty much a picture of the original. So, trust me you can do this by now, you can just go ahead and draw something, take your time at gradients and slowly but surely build something like this yourself. You have the skills and the tools you just need to practice. And last but not least we also did a little bit of a balloon race as a project as well and also demonstrated that Illustrator, even though everyone is used to seeing such clean, crisp, lines can also in conjunction with effects like stylize and feather give you some Photoshop effects as well. So you can have nice billowy clouds that live hand and hand with the vector art work. And last but not least even though I said that the last time, we also talked about how to use the awesome multiple art boards so that you can just work on one thing like logo and place it in a corner and overlap the different art boards to create different types of things, from envelopes to business cards, to post cards, to even postage stamps. So once again this is Dwayne Ferguson, thanks very much for watching this tutorial, I'll see you later at the Virtual Training Company website.
