I'm going to grab my Layers Panel and I'm going to add a New Layer called Floor and I'm going to draw a Rectangle on this layer. But first I'll lock everybody and just make sure that the Floor Layer is unlocked, I'm going to zoom out just a tad. I'll grab my Rectangle and when I finish drawing it I'll give it a black fill. So I'm just going to put this floor right about there, sometimes when you're drawing something Illustrator is going to zoom and scroll. So if you reach the edges and that happens to you, don't worry about it. Alright with this guy selected I'm going to give it a black color and I'm going to also drag this layer so that it's right in front of the Red Layer, so we have a floor and I'm going to zoom back in. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to well zoom out just a little bit. I'm going to duplicate our Logo Layer and don't forget we can do that by dragging it to this icon here to duplicate and I'm going to click on it and I'll Shift Select everybody and I'll group it and then I'm going to take it and flip it like so. So it's upside down. I'm also going to wait for it to render and then I'm going to go to Effect, Distort and Transform, Free Distort and if you look over here I need to pull this part up just a little bit. So I'll grab this corner in the dialog box and move it up like so and hit OK. That looks better, now I'll grab this whole thing and move it down so we have a nice little bit of space between this and the floor. Then we need to grab our Transparency Panel and we're going to drop the Opacity of this guy down so we can see through it and now we have this nice effect of a floor and a reflection. Of course you can move it up a little bit if you want to until your happy with the positioning. And that's pretty much how we can do that kind of effect on a 3D Logo like this. Once again this looks good on a banner or a coffee mug or anything that you might want to give to a client to show off your logo and your product. So on your own experiment with the burst and also with the stroke here and apply those effects to a reflection, even play around with 3D. But becareful with something as complicated as this stroke because Illustrator could take quite awhile to render it, especially if you plan to put a bevel or anything else that lives in the 3D Menu on it. So once again that was the world's shortest project but it did show you a couple of really nice little tricks that you could use to create a 3D Logo that lives on a floor and has a nice reflection.
