Adobe FrameMaker 9 Tutorials

Editing Content / File Edits

Subtitles of the Movie

In this video tutorial I'm going to briefly explain how you can edit content when you're working with Adobe FrameMaker 9. One of the first things that you'll need to do with a document is select either Content or a Single Location. You can place the insertion point anywhere inside the text of your content or, if you wish, select Characters, Words, Paragraphs, or the Entire Document as the range to modify. Once you have a modification location selected, whether it's the insertion point or an entire document, you can Add Text, Delete the Text, Modify and Format the Text. You can also use standard commands to Cut, Copy and Paste information from one location in a file to another, or to Cut, Copy and Paste between documents. FrameMaker also has several different tools to perform word processing functions. These tools include a Spell Check, a Thesaurus and a fully-functional Fine and Replace that can be used to find and change not only text but also all of the different objects that can be created using FrameMaker. When you're working with your document and you make changes they're tracked. This History can be stepped forward or backward using an Undo and a Redo command. Because of these features FrameMaker is considered a full word processing and publishing tool.
