Adobe FrameMaker 9 Overview / Viewing Different Pages
Subtitles of the Movie
In this video tutorial we're going to explore how to navigate between pages in an open file. Note that this sample Table of Contents has four pages, but they're numbered using a Roman page numbering style, that is, first page is set up as page I, the next page double I, triple I, IV and so on. You can navigate using your standard Page Down button to move from one page to the next, or pressing Page Up in order to return to the previous page. You can also take the Scroll Bar and drag it up and down to move between pages. However, particularly in a large document it's nice to be able to use your Navigation buttons to move to the next page, or if you feel like it, navigate to the very first page, or to the very last page. In addition, you can click in the current page number and a pop-up appears. As mentioned, this document uses Roman numbers, so I'm going to type in i to jump to the very first page and then click Go. If you're already on the very first page and you're working with a book document that has multiple files, pressing Page Up will prompt you to open up the file previous to this in the book. In the same way, if you're already on the very last page and you press Page Down you'll be prompted to go to the next file in the book document. In my case I'm clicking No for both of these options, but clicking Yes would simply open the next file that's available from the book. If your file has been opened as a standalone file, when you're on the very first page pressing Page Up doesn't do anything additional.
