In this next lesson you can go to file, open, and we are going to open focus.fm again, click open. Here's our document once more, and now what we are going to do, is we are going to work with the find feature. The find feature is great for finding particular words in your document - edit, find next, or find change, find change is more appropriate. And let's talk about the types of wild cards that are actually involved here, starting with the asterisk. The asterisk is wonderful because it will find words that are misspelled, and that is very useful, using the asterisk, like the word focus. Then we also have the question mark, it works the same way as the asterisk, it finds the words, for example focus would be f?cus. It will find words that begin with f, that’s the second wild card. We also have the vertical bar, it is a vertical bar. And usually it finds one or more spaces and punctuation characters. And then you have the characters within brackets of course, and that's very useful. You can find any one of several different types of characters, using the brackets. You also have the caret, c a r e t. The caret - you can find the beginning of a line. You could also do parentheses, caret, and then close parentheses for any one character not specified in a group. Finally we have the dollar sign - the dollar sign is for the end of the line, let’s find the end of a particular line. So it is very important to know these wild cards.
