Subtitles of the Movie
HTML, Hyper Text Markup Language - let's move on here and take a look at what HTML is really all about. Starting off with the HTML open - this is the opening of the statement and it is embraced in left angled brackets and right angled brackets. Then we have the head - the head always precedes the HTML open. And then we have a head close. But what goes inside the head? – what goes inside the head is the title, and the title that you name, and of course you have the close head. Then you have the open body, because the body always precedes the head. And of course you have ninety nine percent of your web page goes here. The only thing that changes from a HTML document to another HTML document is the content in between the body. It’s the only thing that changes - is the paragraphs that you placed there and the codes that you used to format those paragraphs. Notice we have the body close, and the HTML close at the bottom. So what I want you to understand is that whenever you see a forward slash, it is the closing of a statement. You place a set of tags called elements inside of another set of tags, and this is called nesting. Here is the example of what a nested code looks like, we have the bold tag, bold open, italics open, and the word you want italicized in bold. Then you want to close out in the reverse order that you started, which is close italics and close bold. And whatever is in between those tags will be activated - my name will appear bold and italic, in opening and closing the statements. So your closing statements always have a forward slash in the beginning, this is the majority of your document. Then we have the skeleton - the skeleton is at the bottom and at the top. The skeleton appears the same in every document. Every single document, the skeleton looks identical. The only thing that is different is the code and paragraphs that are inside of the body, which is in the middle. So it is most important to understand that the skeleton stays the same. is most important to understand that the skeleton stays the same.
