The next section includes tools for editing points such as Straightening Points, like I've done here or the next one is Smoothing the Points. There's also tools for Round Points to Pixels, Round Points to Half Pixels, Move Points a Set Number of Pixels. For example, let's move this ten degrees there. I'm not sure what that did. There's also tools for Scaling the Points, Rotating the Points. Let's rotate 90 degrees like so. Mirror the Points, Choose Directions, Yes Mirror Horizontal, No Mirror Vertical, Yes Mirror Horizontal like that. Then there's additional Edit Points Tools here for Adding Points, Subtracting Points, Adding Points to Curves, Knife-On Points, Make Handles Tangent and so on. Quite a bit that you'll want to experiment with and down here at the bottom are Select Point Tools. Here I can select Contours, I can select All Points, I can select No Points. That deselects everything. I can next select just the First Point, select Inverse Points, Shrink Selection in a variety of ways here as well as select Top Points is that last option. So again, I recommend that you add some objects, some vector objects to your canvas and then go through each of these various tools here in the Path Panel for combining paths, altering paths, editing points and then selecting points. Now, in addition to creating vector objects using the Shape Tools here, Auto Shape and the Shape Tools, you can also create vector objects by drawing paths by plotting points. You'll do this usually with the Pen Tool and create straight line segments that can lead to shapes by clicking with the Pen Tool. Create curved line segments by clicking and dragging. Notice that when I get to the end there and I have a full, enclosed object, it fills it with my current fill color. I think it's a little bit tricky learning this Pen Tool and how it can be used to create vector objects by drawing paths. So let me move on to the next movie and describe in more detail how to draw paths by plotting points using the Pen Tool.
