Now that we've discussed what a template is used for, let me show you really how you can modify that template now and really take advantage of pretty much doing a lot of your design work up front like you see here in the Barbeque Time Menu and then opening it up to repurpose it for something else. So let's say I have this template and I want to just change the topics that are going to be covered in this particular DVD. I can grab my Type Tool and I can double click or even triple click in one of the text fields and change the text. So we can say something like Shrimpfest and I'll make that one word and what I could do, by the way, is turn that off by clicking here, the Selection Tool. Now, you'll notice that it's still a button. It's highlighted and when I try to hover it next to something else, we get those little red boundaries. So the button still works. It's still active. I can go back to my Type Tool again, triple click here and change it to something else. So we can say Hot Dogs and we can also do the same thing of course for Safety First. So we can say Health Tips and then once again you can see that they are buttons. They're all active and you can even move them around. So you might want to put your buttons over here this time for the current DVD. If you really want to get to the nitty-gritty of the menu and change the background, for example, to blue or something else, make sure you have your menu highlighted, go to your Edit Menu and choose to edit your menu inside of Photoshop. Then you can make some other tweaks to your menu. Since it's dealing with Barbeque, you might want to add some close-ups of different kinds of foods. Let me go ahead and wait for this menu to open up and you'll see that my menu has different layers in the Layers Panel over here. So I can take this layer and I can choose a different background. Let me go ahead and just choose a nice blue and I will then take my, let's see here, I grab my Magic Wand Tool, click in that green, go to Edit, Fill, Foreground Color and I'll do the same thing on this layer here. I'll deselect that by pressing Command or Control D and I can grab little bits here. I'm just going pretty quickly to show you what you can do here, by the way. I'm not going to, you know, be too neat in this particular case. But you could definitely check out the Photoshop CS3 training to find out more on how to use all these great tools inside of Photoshop. But now that we have this, I'm going to go ahead and save this and then I'll return to Encore and you see it updates right away. So you have a lot of control when it comes to working with your templates. You can change the text, you can move it around, you can go to Photoshop, change it a little bit and if you need to, you can always save it as a new template or just go ahead and File, Save this one and continue working with it in your DVD production.
