Subtitles of the Movie

Now is the time where we have to rigorously test our DVD. We have to go to the Flow Chart; we have to make sure we have no orphans. We have to go to the Build Menu or alternatively we can go right to the Check Project Menu so we can see if everything is working. Now here's how I typically do things. I like to go to this little Preview Button first and click all the links and click this guy over and over again just to make sure it's working. So I'm going to click Explore and I'm going to click to Advance and make my End Actions take their role in this whole thing and so far that works great. I'll click on Scenes; once again I'll do the same thing. So I'll click on Chapter 1 go to its End Action which it brings back to our Menu, Chapter 2, End Action, Chapter 3, End Action, this is what's going to happen when you put it in a DVD player so this is the best way to really test it out before you burn the DVD. And if you're really diligent and this is for professional purposes I highly suggest you actually do burn a DVD or two, put it in different devices such as a video game system, a DVD Player, a computer, make sure it actually plays. Now I'm going to go to the Flowchart and I'll expand this, there are no orphans and everything looks like it's linked nice and neat. OK that looks great and last but not least the Build Menu or the Check Project Menu. I'll go ahead and make sure everything is selected and hit Start and everything looks great. I got rid of a couple of buttons so I don't have a link for it, fine, not a problem and Special Features I've left for you guys to play around with on your own. So I think this looks pretty good, I'm actually going to burn a real DVD of this guy later and I'm going to go to the Window Menu, Build and then choose a DVD and I'm going to output to an actually disk and I'm going to use the current project and I will choose my DVD drive and I'm going to make sure the right speed is a nice high speed and then I'm going to build this and put it on a real DVD and hopefully everything works out great. So once again I hope you guys do the same thing. You have to really just make sure your workflow is very efficient, do your Menus, put your Buttons in place, get your Movies imported, get your Assets imported, link them with the Pickwhip and then use your Dropdown Menus where appropriate to set End Actions or overrides and then constantly check your DVD with the Preview Button. Slowly but surely you get the hang of it and you'll find out that Encore really isn't that difficult, its just a matter of being really organized and knowing when to use the Pickwhip, when to use the Dropdown Menu and always knowing how to use your Flowchart and the Preview Button to get a nice workflow.
