Many times when you build a DVD project you're going to want to have a place for people to access scenes so they can find their favorites or you want them to access the special features or the ability to change the language they're going to be using for the DVD. That's where a sub-menu comes in handy. Now, typically this is what's going to happen. You're going to bring all of your assets into Encore. So you're going to bring your movies in, your audio, your images for your slideshows, etcetera. Then you're going to go to the Library and choose a menu. So as you see here, I have Abstract 2, which is a menu in the Technology Section of the Library. So I'll double click on that and this is where your main movie takes place. So you have your menus and then you're going to rename these. So let's say that this one is called Scenes. So let me go ahead and just highlight this, missed it. Scenes. This menu is going to have link somewhere so people can choose their favorite scenes. That's why you're going to bring in the sub-menu that kind of goes hand in hand with the menu. So as you see, there's an Abstract Sub-Menu. I'll double click to bring that into our Project Panel as well. So to go back and forth between your menus, simply double click on them. So here's our menu and this Scenes Button has to link to the sub-menu and that's easy to do. Just click on the button itself, go to the Properties for that button in the Basic Panel Tab and click the link and drag it right to the sub-menu. So when people click on the Scenes Button, it will go here. And from the sub-menu you're going to be able to put your content in here and we're going to talk much more about this in depth in our actual project called Why I Love the Woods later on in this tutorial. You can also test your link right away by going to the Preview Button. Now, make sure that your main menu has this little yellow icon so it is going to be the first play. Click on Preview and then click on your Scenes Button. If all is well in the world, it goes to the sub-menu. Now your viewers will be able to choose their favorite scenes and then go back to the main menu once you program this button with the pickwhip to return to this menu. So I'll go ahead and do that now. I'll click on Main Menu and drag the link pickwhip back to the main menu and once again, you can test that out, click Scenes, sub-menu appears, click Main Menu to return to the Main Menu.
