Subtitles of the Movie
Let me now give you a summary of what I'll be covering in this Dreamweaver CS3 tutorial. By the time you view the last of the movies in this tutorial you should have a solid understanding of all of Dreamweaver's most important and useful features and will be familiar enough with the application to start building your own web pages and websites immediately. In this tutorial I provide a thorough overview of the Dreamweaver application interface including Dreamweaver's important windows, panels and interface components. I also cover how to set up a Dreamweaver site and cover in detail how to use sound file and site management techniques to avoid the problems that many beginners experience in their first handful of Dreamweaver sites. I also cover how to add and format text in both lists and paragraphs using the property inspector and how to also lay out HTML documents using Dreamweaver's tables and AP DIV layers tool. Next I review how to insert and edit various media elements from other members of the Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Flash and Fireworks. In this tutorial I cover extensively how to format page elements using cascading style sheets and how to lay out pages with positioning cascading styles. Next I cover how to set up and test links and how to create forms using HTML form objects and I include techniques for formatting your form so they're easier to fill out and use. Library elements and page templates are also covered, so the creation of web pages can be automated and your work made much more efficient. I next cover how to add interactivity to your websites through the use of Javascript behaviors and the new to Dreamweaver CS3 spry widgets and spry effects. The tutorial continues with an introduction to frames and how to use frames to lay out your pages, tips for managing your files, tools for checking your links and the accessibility of your pages and the course concludes with the review of how to extend the functionality of Dreamweaver CS3 through the use of third party extensions. I'm confident that by the end of this tutorial you'll gain an appreciation of just what an indispensable tool Dreamweaver is for designing, developing and maintaining website and web applications and why Dreamweaver is the world's leading web production tool.
