You'll manage your Dreamweaver extensions using the appropriately labeled Adobe Extension Manager that I have open here. The Extension Manager is a separate application, lets you install and manage all of your extensions in the various Adobe applications, not just Dreamweaver. Notice the drop-down menu here includes Dreamweaver 8 and CS3, Fireworks 8 and CS3, as well as Flash 8 and Flash CS3. I want to manage my Dreamweaver CS3 extensions, so I'll leave it here to the Dreamweaver CS3 showing in that drop-down. You can start this Extensions Manager from Dreamweaver by choosing from the main menu Help, Manage Extensions in the middle of the menu there. That'll bring up this separate application. Now you can download your Dreamweaver extensions from the Adobe Exchange website, you can install those extensions directly from your browser, or what I like to do is save the extensions and then open and install them from this Extensions Manager. Let me go ahead and demonstrate that. I have two, notice, extensions that I've already installed and the Extensions Manager manages those for me, but to install a new one, I'll choose File, Install Extension, and then browse to the location of the extension. I saved it here RSS Dreamfeeder in my Dreamweaver CS folder. Go ahead; click on Install, and the manager will just install this for me. No problem; let the manager do all the hard work for you. And once it's been installed, Extension Manager will give you this warning, the RSS Dreamfeeder extension has been successfully installed; in order for the changes to take effect, you must close and then restart Dreamweaver CS3; click OK. And there's a description there of this extension; this extension generates RSS files for websites built with Dreamweaver accessed from the RSS Dreamfeeder entry in the Windows menu, and that's what's nice about these extensions, that they're really built right into the Dreamweaver interface. Notice under File here, you can also disable extensions, package extensions; if you want to create your own, submit extensions to Adobe and remove them, as well as a link here to the Adobe exchange website. That'll conclude this short section on how to extend the functionality of Dreamweaver in this extension. You learned all about Dreamweaver extensions, how to use Adobe Dreamweaver Exchange to find and download additional extensions and how to install and manage your extensions using this Adobe Extension Manager. Let me now move onto the next section of the tutorial, Course Wrap-up.
