Congratulations! You've now completed all the movies in this Virtual Training Company Adobe Director 11 Tutorial. Although Director is a powerful and deep application and you still have quite a bit yet to learn, this tutorial has provided a comprehensive overview of all of Director's important features and capabilities using the skills and knowledge you've gained from viewing all of the movies in this tutorial you should now be ready to use Director to create your own media rich presentations, software applications, 3D games or web content. My coverage of Director 11 included an overview of the application windows, panels and other workspaces, including the Stage, Score, Cast Window, Control Panel, Property Inspector and much more. It also covered the creation and editing of bitmap and vector shaped cast members as well as it contained a review of how Sprites are created from cast members, how to select Sprites and modify their properties and appearance and how to use inks. Next, you learned about using text including how to create text cast members, how to edit and format text. How to embed fonts in Director movies and how to convert text to bitmaps. Animation techniques were covered next including movies on frame by frame, path tweening, film loops, step recording and real time animation techniques. Movies on how Director works with color as well as a movie on how it controls tempo and another movie on Sprite transitions was next. Information about working with audio and video was covered including how to import audio and video clips, how to set cast member properties, how to control audio in the Score as well as information about using Shockwave audio. How to play digital video direct to Stage and all about using Windows Media, Real Media and DVD media in your Director projects. Using Flash in your Director movies was next, followed by a section on working with behaviors to add drag and drop interactivity to your Director projects. A section of six movies covering Director scripting was next including movies on Director scripting essentials, scripting terminology and syntax tips and this section concluded with a demonstration of some basic but very useful lingo scripts. Movies about working with 3D content as well as how to open and close movies in a window were followed by a final large section on how to distribute and publish your Director movies. This last section included movies on how to plan your Director projects to avoid problems, how to test for problems, how to preview movies in a browser, how to create Shockwave content for web delivery and all about how and when Director streams media and the section concluded with an important settings in the Publish Settings dialog and how to work with Director Xtra extensions.
