In the last tab here is the Image tab of the Publish Settings dialog, here you can specify the images that should appear if the user doesn't have Shockwave player or ActiveX control. So this allows you to select from the following alternate Shockwave image options. Here in the poster frame field you can enter the frame number for your movie's score that you want to appear as a JPG image for users who are unable to view your movie, the default is one but you may have a more represented frame that shows an image that will be displayed for those users who cannot play your Shockwave file. Here you can specify compression for this image, same as your other compression slider, values from one to 100, the higher the percentage the less compression is applied, so the better the quality of the image and the last option there is progressive. This you can use to specify that the image download as a progressive JPG. These JPG's display at low resolution and then increase in quality as the JPG file continues to download; making a JPG progressive also reduces its file size alittle bit. So lastly you have the options over here Click OK to accept those settings. Click on Publish to actually publish files using all the settings here in the tabs, Cancel will cancel everything. You can also save these settings as a default so that the next time you open the Publish Settings dialog all those settings that you specified will be there or you can click on the Defaults below there to set the defaults back to the way that it was when you opened up Director. So there you have the various settings here, quite a detailed, intense dialog, there you have a quick review of the more important settings here in the dialog. Now some elements that you author into your Director movies require extra prepared blocks of code that extend the capabilities of Director, these are referred to as extras or Xtra extensions. Let me move on now to the next movie and talk more about working with Xtra extensions in Director 11.
