In this movie, we're going to talk about troubleshooting Contribute. Sometimes you've got problems whether it's an installation or with the connection and you always need to know where to look to help solve your issues. So right here is a link I went to for you, and you can look at Contribute CS5 Known Issues. So right here, and it's a very short page right now, I can see some issue that they've got at the moment. Notice it says the support package is available as a download for the Microsoft website, so not a whole lot going right now on known issues. Right here is the Contribute support page. There's your link, keep that, make sure you know what it is, and as you can see when I scroll down, Troubleshooting Area, excellent place to go. I've got top issues, recent documents, and if I have installation issues, I can get installation help. Notice I need to pay attention to the platform, let's look at this system errors and freezes in the troubleshooting area for Windows. It tells me what the symptoms are, and then different ways to go about checking things, and solutions and things like that. One of things I've found with Contribute, sometimes for some reason, the other Adobe software causes problems, so what I might do, and I did do this with my Contribute install, I uninstalled all my Adobe products, then did a clean install of it, and it worked fine. But I got rid of all my Adobe products, the Flash, the ShockWave, the Reader. For some reason there was an issue there, just on my computer here. Not my other one, so what I did was just go through and do that, and I did find that as an option on one of the troubleshooting areas, so these are excellent places to look if you have problems. Another thing you can do if you ever have issues with any software, go to a search engine, type in your exact error right here, and search it. You'll be amazed at how many things will already have other posts out there that people have had the exact same problem. You type your error in there, you read what other people have done, and other people have tried, and typically, you'll find the answer fairly quickly. Sometimes you might have to try more than one thing. You also need to be aware that there are different platforms, make sure you're matching up operating systems, with whatever solution that you're finding. Then you should be able to very quickly find a solution to your problem, so go out there, make sure you can find Contribute help and support for sure, and if you want to look at known issues you can. And of course if you had a problem already, or maybe you've just got a strange question from something you saw Contribute, type it in there, see if somebody else has put that out there already. Most likely they have.
