In this movie, let's talk about Paypal. Lots and lots of people have Paypal accounts or they just pay for items through Paypal by using their credit card. They don't necessarily have to have an account on Paypal to be able to use the Paypal option on your website. I'll explain all this as we go through it. Now what we do is create Paypal buttons and that will allow us to let people just buy stuff from our site. It's your e-commerce option, then people can pay by credit cards and it's completely secure, it's all hosted at Paypal, they record all of your transactions, keep your history, and they charge a very small percentage of the payment that you receive. And it's very small compared to having to keep track of your own credit card information or subscribe and be somebody who does all that. So it's a great way to accept credit cards. People aren't necessarily going to just mail you a check all the time, you've got to open yourself up to the credit card transactions. Now we've got five types of buttons that we can work with Paypal and add those to our page. We can do a buy now button, what we would do is list a product that people can purchase, maybe that we make a lot of, maybe you make crafts and you want to sell those, you just simply put the product name, and it's price, it's number if we're going to charge for shipping and handling, and then they can buy it, they give the money basically to Paypal, and then once it's there, we send it out, everything's done, and then we get our money out of Paypal. You can leave it there, and use it to buy things for you to, that money that you put in there can be used however you want, and the money you receive in there, can be used however if you want. Now it's a nice place to buy stuff because it's secure, because Paypal if there's a dispute, and people say you're product was mis-represented or whatever, and they want their money back, you could easily just refund their money, if they send the product back, or if there's a dispute, Paypal will be that mediator. We can have lots of buy now buttons then we can add a cart so they could put lots of things in there cart, they can view their cart, we could add a subscription button. People could subscribe to a newsletter, or maybe top tips that you send out whenever. They could subscribe, they could subscribe to a membership area, where only certain people can come in and see the information. And last but not least, Paypal offers you a donation button. If you have a non profit site and you want people to be able to donate, you could do that, or maybe your adding a blurb on your site to somebody who's in financial need because maybe they have a sick child or something, you could have a donation element there. So there are lots of options with Paypal. Let's go in here and bring this stuff down, and let's work with Paypal up here at the top of our page. Let's go up to Insert, down to Paypal. Notice we've got that arrow, here are five options that we talked about, Buy Now, Add to Cart, View Cart, Subscription, and Donation. Let's do a Buy Now button and see how this works. If you do not have a Paypal account, go out to Paypal dot com, and just sign up for a business account, you don't have to pay a dime, you can sign up totally for free. If you buy a higher level account then yes you have to pay a little bit, but you don't have to at all. You just sign up, I've never paid for my account, and then I'll click Next, and here's the type of button that I can put on there. Now buy now, those are pretty simple, I could customize and create my own button if I'd like to, I could do a Paypal buy here. The only reason I would use one of these with a credit card, possibly, or just one of the buy now's is because, if they see Paypal they may think they have to have a Paypal account. Now tons of people do, but some people don't, and also everybody's got a credit card, so whether they have Paypal or not, it's really not going to make any difference, so typically I use something more along this line. Sometimes I've customized a button where I've added it's secure with Paypal or something like that, down at the bottom, so I'll click Next. Right here, I'll type the name of the item that I'm going to sell, I'll just call it book for now, and it's item id number, however we have that, the price of it, and I'm going to use US dollars. Do we want to allow buyers to purchase more than one? I'll check that, they can buy more than one of my books, base shipping, let's say I'm not going to charge them any shipping, I'm not going to charge them extra shipping for additional items, and I'm not even going to charge them for any handling. Do we want to ask buyers to provide you with their shipping address? Yes we'll go with that, and do we want to allow customers to optionally include a note with their payment? Sure why not, let's click Next, and if we have a specific logo that we want on there, we can do that, I'm not going to worry about that for right now, so you can see what this looks like. Right here is where we would direct them to say great, thanks for your order, we'll be in touch soon, or if it's cancelled, we can set up our own pages right there, so that's a great option to customize it and bring people back to your site, once they've ordered. And then this gives me a summary of what's gone on, always read through that, make sure it follows what you need, and that you did set it up the way you thought you were to, and click Finish. And right now there is my button, simple and easy to do. Go ahead, try to make your own, buy now button.
