In this movie, let's talk about all the options you have for Opening your Contribute program. Of course you can Open it with the Shortcut on your Desktop, you could Pin that Shortcut to your Taskbar to have another quick option down there, you can go to Start Programs and find it on your programs list, on mine it's right here. If you have a Suite it will be under Adobe in your list. I can also open up my computer- again open up the hard drive then I can Open up Program Files and I can look for Contribute but Contribute's an Adobe product so I'm going to open up the Adobe folder and right there is Adobe Contribute CS5. If I open up the App folder and I scroll down here there's the Executable File, I can Right-click and drag that to my desktop for a shortcut if I've lost it. So that's where you can find it, in Program Files- Adobe- Adobe Contribute CS5. If you have Windows 7 you'll still go to that Adobe folder but you'll need to select whether you've got 32-bit or 64-bit so that's another place that you can look. Now once you have the program open, I've got it down my taskbar so I'm going to select it and open it back up,- once I have the program open you'll notice I have just my basic browser toolbar. I can use this and just go to some place on the web if I want to, as you can see I can just type in the address and click on links I can navigate this site all that I want, I can click on any link just as I would within any web browser and look at the page of information. Once I've done that, clicked on links, I can always go back or forward, I can stop it if I don't want to see that I can refresh the page, very easy to use just like your typical browser. Now when you start the Contribute program you can have it start with a password requirement, we don't have that right now on this one but in the next movie I'll show you how to set that. But there are no special rights for somebody just to have to come in here and browse, so as long as you don't have a password it's not a big deal, they can just come in here and browse. Now I can work offline, if I go to File and I Select Work Offline that shows me I can create new pages, edit existing drafts but I cannot browse published pages or send drafts. So what I can do is go over here to this page that I've been working on, I can go in here and add more text, and then I only have the option to save it for later. It tells me here I just click the Work Online button after I've reconnected to my network so maybe my Internet connection has gone down or something or maybe I know I just want to work offline for a while, I can then select that, when I'm ready to go and then I can go publish that specific page or that specific draft when it was ready to go. You can do the same thing with your blogs at any time, you can work offline, edit things, and then you can go back online. So the great thing to know is, if you're ever stuck anywhere without Internet access you can still work on your drafts and still make some progress. So I'm ready go online, I click Work Online and then I'm back to where I was at, I can go to my Homepages, I can see what things I have connections to and I can work with those. Take a minute, Open up your Contribute program, check out the Browser Options and then also work offline just so you can try it out in case you're ever in that situation.
