In this movie, let's talk about exporting a page to HTML. Again HTML means Hyper Text Mark Up Language. When you export you're just simply pulling the file out, because a you might just want to use it as a backup, b you might want to transfer it to someplace else, or c maybe you're just pulling that file out to go email somebody, and send it to them. So basically we can just take our file and we can put it somewhere else. We can put it on our computer, we can put it on an internal network computer, there's all kinds of options for your exported files. Obviously when you do export you're going to get everything on the page, your going to get the pictures, the hyperlinks, the color of the text, the backgrounds, all of that. Now if I change that page that I export at a future date or time, those changes aren't necessarily going to be reflected in my Contribute. Or if I change it here in Contribute, my exported page is not going to change. So if you're going to export a page, first thing you do obviously is find it, we have to click on Edit, you have to be in the Editing Mode in order to be able to have the rights to export that file. Alright we've got this page for editing, then we're going to go over to File, and then there's our Export, got the three dots, remember anytime you see those three dots in a Menu, it's going to give you another dialog box to answer questions from. I'm going to go to my desktop here, and I'm just going to call it Export CS5 Index dot HTML, and I'll click Save. That's all it did, export my file. I'm going to minimize this, here is that file, I'm going to double click on it, and you'll see right up here on my Menu Bar, it shows you that it's coming off, of my hard drive, off, of my desktop, and again here is the exported file. Notice I got those background colors and things like that, it did revert my text, and I still have my hyperlinks. So if you need the data that's on a web page, you can export it like that. Another reason to maybe export a page is to work on it in another program, or to play with it in another program, or maybe you're exporting it for somebody else, so they can kind of work with a page and see how they can play around with it and work with it. So take a minute go export a page in your Contribute program.
