In this movie, let's talk about Exporting a Blog Entry, that means you're going to take it out of one place so possibly you could put it in another. You may have totally moved your blog to a different place, you may want to export it for that reason, you may want to export certain posts to put on another blog that you run. Now basically you can export a blog entry and save it as an HTML file any time you want. Now I have to be Editing my Entry in order to be able to Export that, so first I go find the entry I want to export, then I'm going to go up to File and down to Export, notice it's got the 3 dots, that means I'm going to get another dialog box to answer some questions on. If this is grayed out it simply means you weren't editing your entry so could export it. Right here I'm going to go to my desktop and I'm going to Save that and now I've got it saved. I'm going to discard this draft for the moment, and you can see right here, here is that entry or that post, if I go to File-Export it's grayed out, I can't do anything with it, that's because I'm not in editing mode. Let's go out to our desktop, there is our blog export entry let's Double-click on that and take a look at it, notice it's just a quick copy of that entry nothing too exciting, right there is the link to that off of my desktop notice it saved it as an HTML file. Then what I can go do is import that where I need to, I can also just export these, use them kind of as screenshots, maybe add those to my website where I'm discussing certain information. I export certain blog pieces and show people where other people have commented on certain things regarding a product, or just regarding a topic. So it is kind of neat to be able to export that as an HTML file, because it can be linked to any webpage too, that way you've got a little screenshot, kind of a shot in the moment for that time period so it can always be referred to and you'll always have a copy of that. Take a minute, go try and Export.
