What I want to show you now are the relationships between the different table and the tables in our sumaDatabase and this is the database that came with your course files. It's being used for our queries moving forward and there are 5 tables as you can see right here. Now don't feel you need to open this in Access, I just want to show you this and show you the relationships between the tables. Because I've created a database it contains 5 tables of data, these are the columns in the tables and you can see there are these little black lines between them. What those are are relationships between the tables and that's what allows us to query multiple tables for information at the same time. If there were no lines or relationships between these tables I would only be able to pull data out of one table at a time. So that is our sumaDatabase and the tables contained within it. So we'll close out of that and sure, I'll save them. Now what we did in the initial course setup is we setup a Data Source. What we want to do now is make sure that Data Source is here and that is this one here, our suma Data Source, so that's in Data and Services, Data Sources. In case it is not you may want to go back through the course setup for setting up the course Database. So here's our Data Source. We can actually confirm this is working and this first one with the pencil in it allows you to edit. The next one allows you to verify and what verify does is just make sure ColdFusion can find it. So I'm going to click that. Once I do you can see it says OK over here, I know it's fine. These other 4 are coming from the documentation I installed. These are example files that you can use to take a look at a variety of things in ColdFusion itself. So I know my database connection is working, it said OK. If I click this button: Verify All Connections, it will go down and check all 5 of them at the same time, or whatever's listed in here. I only need this one. So we saw the database, we know ColdFusion knows where it is, the DSN is named suma, inside of suma if I just click that, this is the name, our Data Source name and here's where it's located and notice this is the type of database it is. So I will just click Submit. You can see we didn't really change anything, but just to make sure that I didn't and I can close out of that. I know ColdFusion knows about my database. Now I'm going to double-click to open the Databases tab and when I do that you can see suma is listed here. So I'm going to click the Plus sign in front of suma and the Plus sign in front of the tables and I can open up to see what fields are in any table right here through Dreamweaver. This is provided, RDS was enabled, which we did on our install of ColdFusion. I can also right-click any table name, click View Data, and it will show me what's inside that particular table. So I can look at our tours, I can look at a variety of things. Now Dreamweaver has registered that I do not have a page open, so what I'm going to do is just click to open a new ColdFusion page and you can see my Panel lights up again. So should that happen to you, don't panic just open up a page, a ColdFusion page and you'll be able to access it. So here's a listing, if I right-click the table name, go down to View Data, here are all the tours that we offer at our Dive Shop. So you can see there's quite a few. If there's more than 25 you get the Next 25 button and Previous, so you could scroll right through it. Now this does not expand but you can expand these out and then you will get a scroll bar that goes along with it. So feel free to pull those columns as you need. So I can completely view my database, the columns and the data right from within Dreamweaver; very handy. And I know my database is all set up and I can view it. As long as I can see it here I know everything's working correctly.
