OK. So far we've created a header and footer page. The header. cfm page has our logo- our header on it. And no other code on the page at all. So, it's really just an images tag. You don't want any other HTML on this page. The footer is basically the same- a single image with no other HTML on the page. So, if we want to create a template page to use for our new pages, what we want to do is create a third page. So I'm going to do a Ctrl N or Apple N. This is going to be named -SUMA Template Page-, as a title. So, I'm going to give this one a title and we do need to keep all of these HTML tags on the page. So, all I need to do is add 2 cfincludes in here. So, I include cfinclude. Template is going to be -header. cfm-, just like we did with our other include page. cfinclude, template, I'm just hitting Enter once the code hint show with our cfm. So, it's a lot of time getting used to doing that. Now, there is our code for the page. So, if I go to process this, I'm actually going to put -Content goes here- So, ColdFusion will go to process this. We'll call the call header image, print out this text to the page which is basic HTML and then pull in our footer image. So, let's take a look and let me save this as template page. So, we'll save that as template page and I'm going to hit F12, let's put it in the browser and see what happens. And we do have an interesting page here. We have the header image, we have our -content goes here- and then we have the footer. Now, we want to do is make sure that these stand separate lines. So, what I'm going to do is take my header here and I'll actually take -contents goes here- and do a Ctrl Shift P. What that will do is make sure that -content goes here- is on it's own line. And let me get rid of this Properties area again- it popped up and save the page. Now, Ctrl Shift P is a shortcut to make it a paragraph. It saves me the trouble and there's our page. So, whatever content I want to put on here goes inside here where the word is and we have our header, our content and our footer all set. So there's our SUMA Template Page.
