Subtitles of the Movie

In this lesson I want to introduce you to the Slides Notes Panel and cover one of the ways that you can use this multipurpose feature. Now just as with Microsoft PowerPoint, the Slides Notes Panel enables you to include extra information about your slides. To add Notes to the Panel you start by clicking in the Slide Notes column and then just enter in the text you want to include. To add a new row of text you just start by pressing Enter or Return, clicking on the new row and then just typing the new content. Once you have entered the Slide Note text you can then use this to perform a number of tasks. For example, if you were going to include voiceover on this slide you can then read the Slide Note's text directly from the Record Audio dialog box. And to illustrate this I'll choose Audio followed by Record and in this section of the Panel here you can see the Slide Note text. Adobe Captivate also enables you to export your entire project to Microsoft Word to create handouts and, as you can see from the Publish dialog box, here I have the option to include Slide Notes, something that's very useful if you want to add extra information for reviewers when you publish your projects to an MS Word document. Now, if you prefer, you can also add your Slide Note text directly in the Slide Properties dialog box. Here's the Notes button here, if I just click on that and very quickly make a change and then click OK and OK again, you can see the information has now been updated here in the Slide Notes Panel. Lastly, to remove an entry you simply click on the red Cross button here.
