Now one of the major problems that you might encounter with interactions, especially if you start assigning points to your interactive objects, is trying to keep track of which slides have interactive objects, how many points have been allocated to each object and also which keyboard shortcuts have you assigned to the said objects. To help you manage your interactions, Adobe Captivate includes something called the Advanced Interactions dialog and to access this I'm going to go to the Project Menu and choose Advanced Interaction. You can see that you can also press F9 on your keyboard. At the top here you can see a list of all the scorable objects and underneath that a list of all the interactive objects that have been included in this particular project. Using this dialog I can perform many different types of tasks. For example, if I wanted to I could select this particular Click Box and then I could assign a shortcut. So from here I can choose Attach a shortcut and I'll choose, for example, Ctrl plus K and click OK and now if I just expand the width of that column you can see that I've now got my keyboard shortcut listed. In addition, if I wanted to, I could also change the number of points. So, for example, on the second Click Box, if this was a really important interaction, I can increase - let me just resize that so that you can see it a bit better - the number of points for this particular interaction to, say, 20. And you can see down here at the bottom the total changes each time I increase or decrease the amounts of points I'm assigning to each of my interactions. Now notice also that if I, for example, click on the first Click Box here, over on the left-hand side in the Filmstrip, Captivate also highlights where that interaction is located on the slide, so there's the interaction for the second slide, here's the interaction for the fourth slide and there's the interaction for the fifth slide. At the top here you can see that I can also filter out the interactive objects. Now at present I've only got Click Boxes in here, but if I had Text Entry Boxes or Buttons, Question Slides, Hidden Slides, for example, then I can actually show or hide those and to do that you just click on the button like so. Now if I click on Click Boxes you can see that the Click Box interaction is removed from the Advanced Interaction dialog. To see it again I'll simply click on All scorable objects if I want to view all of them, or just click back on Click Boxes and you can see they all reappear. From here you can also Print as well as Display the Quiz Preferences. So, that's what the Advanced Interaction dialog looks like with interactions, but what about question slides? Well, if I just quickly switch over to another Captivate project here, which just consists of question slides and choose Project, Advanced Interaction you can now see how the Advanced Interaction dialog box looks when you're working with Question Slides and again, in here you can go ahead and you can choose the correct options, you can change the On success, the Attempts, On fail, Add any shortcuts if, for example, you had interactions in here rather than just question slides, Assign points - you can see the default number of points is 10, whether or not you want to track, if you want to report on the answers, assign object and Internet Action IDs, et cetera. And lastly, of course, if I choose Collapse All I can clean up the view of the Advanced Interactions dialog and now if I wanted to, for example, I can just drill down into Slide 3, which has a True or False Question Slide.
