Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Adobe Creative Suite 2 Essentials. On behalf of VTC.com I'm Chad Perkins, your host, an Adobe certified expert and Adobe certified instructor in Adobe products. The Creative Suite is a collection of applications designed for print, design for web. We can also use the Creative Suite to do color correction, logo design, etc, etc. There is a lot here to cover. The Adobe Creative Suite is the most powerful and popular professional suite that I have ever seen. It is a standard worldwide and it is my absolute pleasure to be able to go through these amazing applications with you in this training series. Now here's how these lessons are going to work. For every application in the suite I'm going to give you a brief introduction, tell you a little bit about the program - what it's used for and that type of thing - and then we are going to have a bigger section where we actually get into the basics of the program. Finally we'll end up with an area where we talk about how these programs integrate and work together. Now obviously because these applications are so huge and powerful we'll only be able to scratch the surface of what these powerful applications can do. Thankfully, if you'd like to learn more VTC.com has specific training in all of these applications. What sets this title apart however, is that it is a basic overview of all of them. So if you don't need to get into all the details, you don't need to know what every single button does, you just kind of maybe want an over view of what they do then this training series is for you. Now if you look here we're on Adobe.com. This is the page about the Creative Suite. There are a few versions of the Creative Suite. We'll talk about those a little bit later. But I'm here on this site because while we're in production for this training series, Adobe released Creative Suite version 2.3 and towards the end of this training series we're going to be covering what that extra .3 is - what they added in the 2.3 version. It's actually very powerful. It didn't take anything away and it actually added more stuff. Folks there is a lot of power here in these applications. Learning what these programs can do will change the way that you work forever. It's absolutely amazing to me, the creativity that comes when you use these very powerful tools. So, lets go ahead and get started.
