Subtitles of the Movie

There is some quite interesting text effects that you can apply automatically to any type you have in your After Effects composition. The first thing you need to do of course is to go to the effects increases panel and then twirl down the animation presets until you find the text category. Now based on the name alone some of these are very difficult to tell what they do. For example organic, we have something called chewing gum, well we have no idea what that will do. So let's go ahead to the bridge, but first make sure you click on your text to select it. I'm going to go to the pop up menu and go to browse presets, I'll double click on my text category, I'll choose organic and here's chewing gum, I'll click on it once. So that's what it looks like. Alright I'll double click on it and now its applied to my text. I'll do a RAM preview by pressing the 0 key in my keypad to see what it looks like. And now my text has been thoroughly chewed. If I'm not happy with it I can command or control Z to undo and now I'll try something different. For example let's see what flutter does. Once again I will do a RAM preview to see what that looks like and that's a very interesting effect right there. OK, so now that we know how to apply effects let's see some other categories we have. Let me go ahead and just move this text up. We also have some other categories that just fill and stroke. We have one that's called pulse blue and I'll drag that right on top of the text and let me resize it a little bit and I'll do a RAM preview. That can come in quite handy when you want to do something like a busy city and you have an area like Broadway and you want to have some neon text effects. So as you can see you have a lot of text presets to choose from and the best way I think to view them is to go to the bridge, double click on the category and simply see what it does when you click on it one time in the preview, if you're happy double click on it and as long as your text is selected it'll be applied to that.
