Subtitles of the Movie

You know, when you're at work, you're not supposed to surf the web, but in this particular case, I can do so because I want to share with you guys some websites that may inspire you and also provide you with tutorials that will take you further in your After Effects career. I'll start off by going to Adobe.com, which is the home of Adobe After Effects, of course. I am currently at the design center, which I was able to get to by going to Adobe.com and then coming over here where it say communities and choosing designers. As you see, we're taken to the design center and if you scroll down, you see that we have some tutorials and all kinds of great things, such as think boxes and dialog boxes and what you can do is simply click tutorials and then find the design center that you're interested in. So you can choose After Effects and then find all kinds of great tutorials on how to use this application in conjunction with not only After Effects itself, but with Encore and other Adobe applications. So definitely check out the Adobe.com website. A great website that I visit all the time is 3dtotal.com and I come here because there are great textures available to you here, there are tutorials. If you go over to where it says free stuff, you can find tutorials, textures, models and, of course, forms and one of my favorite things is look at the galleries. I like to see the 3D artwork because in my workflow with After Effects, I'm always using it with 3D artwork or film that I shoot with my camera. For some fun and for some inspiration, and not just that but some practice, you might want to make your own Star Wars fan film. Why not? Hey, me personally, always wanted to be Bobba Fett or Darth Vader, just those two. Luke, nah, not really. Well, actually Mace Windu's kid of cool. That purple light saber is awesome, but then again, I am going off on a tangent. Now, Star Wars is a very unique property in that George Lucas is very supportive of his fans. You can actually make your own film and put it on the website and he will sometimes even look at it and judge it, so definitely check this out. By the way, see this George Lucas Selects Award? Definitely check out how you can get involved making your own fan film if you do love Star Wars. A lot of the light saber's effects and other effects are created in After Effects, by the way. So let's go ahead and take a look at this website, which is called CG Channel, another great website, which deals with computer graphics and has tutorials, it has interviews, it has galleries, all kinds of great stuff and as you can see over here, jobs, which is important always. People need jobs. People need to eat. So check that out. We have CG Society, which I read all the time; always on this website. And you can find animation and visual effects information, schools, tutorials, forums, all kind of amazing stuff and even great books that will inspire you. And Creative Cow. It's got an interesting name, but it's got some really nice tutorials as well. And After Effects is something that they love to talk about, so definitely come to CreativeCow.com. Check out some of their podcasts, training and just visit the website and find out how to use After Effects to create some other interesting effects like smoke and explosions and that kind of thing. So hopefully some of these websites will come in handy for you guys and I definitely would explore them if I were you, just to motivate yourselves and learn some additional techniques that will help you in using After Effects.
