Interface / Safe Zones
Subtitles of the Movie
Even though while you're working on your composites you'll notice that you have quite a bit of space around your actual imagery. You also have to be aware of the fact that some things will click or get cut off on certain environments such as a TV. Now what I want to show you here is what's known as a safe zone and you enable that by clicking this button right here and then you choose title slash or rather forward /action safe. What happens is you're presented with these two boxes here, these boundaries, one says title safe and one says action safe. What that means is if you absolutely want to make sure that the text in your scene appears while somebody is watching it make sure that it's in this boundary, whereas if you want to make sure that something very important to the action in your animation or in your movie is going to show up for sure, make sure its in this outer boundary. So I'm going to click on my text tool here and I'll just type something, just to show you that I want to make sure that word spider tag is not out here because this is now going to ensure that my viewer is going to see it. So there's a good chance they are only going to see just the bottom of that word. So you make sire that's right around in here, that's what the title safe actually means and likewise you want to make sure if something very important is going to happen in the scene just want to make sure it occurs within this boundary and not out here somewhere. So once again just enable the title action safe by choosing it from here and then you can turn it off whenever you want to. Its just a great way to make sure that you want to show to your public is going to show up where you want it to in that clip.
