Getting Around Inside Acrobat / Using Organizers Collections
Subtitles of the Movie
Now, one other thing I can use Acrobat's organizer for is creating something called Collections and you'll see the Collections Area there down in the bottom left corner of the Organizer. And as a matter of fact, I'm given three Collections by default. Collections 1, 2 and 3. Now, what you can do here, I'm going to click on Collections 1 and you can read up on exactly what a Collections is here. It's quite a long read so if you're looking to kill some time, you can certainly read through all that. I'm going to show you exactly what a Collections is here. Basically you can use a Collection for whatever the heck you want. Imagine you're involved in a project and that project requires a few PDF files. Well, you could come along and store those PDF files inside this thing called a collection. So as a matter of fact, what I'm going to do, I have Collection 1 selected here. I'm going to click on it one more time because I'm going to rename it. I'm going to call it Ten Ton Flash. There it is there. I'll just hit enter. Alright, now I want to start dropping some files, some PDF files into my Collection here. How do I do it? Well, I'm going to go all the way back up to either my History or my File Structure and browse around and find the PDF files that I want to add to my Collection. So for example, I'll take this NumberingPages.PDF file that I have here and all I'm going to do is simply drag and drop it directly into the Collection that I've created there. That's all there is to it. If I click on my Ten Ton Flash Collection, sure enough there's the PDF file that I just added. OK, I'm going to go and add a few more. I'll go to Yesterday underneath History and I'll grab my Chapter 5 Layout, drop that guy in. I could go to one of my other History Folders or maybe I'll go to my Chapter 3 Folder, which I added as a favorite there and maybe I'll grab some of my other chapters. I'm going to hold down the Command Key here and select multiple files here. So there's Chapter 2, 3 and 4 and I just selected consecutive files there just by holding down Command or Control on the Windows side and I'll drag all three into my Ten Ton Flash Collection. Alright, so there's all my files. There's the Numbering Pages, Chapter 2, 3, 4 and 5. And of course, just as before I can single click on any one of these guys here, get a preview over on the right-hand side and of course I can print it, open it or email it. Alright. So there's a look at working with Collections inside Acrobat's Organizer.
