Adobe Acrobat 6 Tutorials

Navigate The Acrobat Workspace / Acrobat Assistance

Subtitles of the Movie

In this lesson, I would like to show you how to get help while you are working with Acrobat. As mentioned in a previous lesson, you can get task specific help from within the ‘How To” pane, and you can also launch complete Acrobat 6 help from within the ‘How To” pane. And this will appear in a separate window, you have a contents tab, and you can expand the markers here to get information about a specific topic, you can also search the document or browse through the document index. Again clicking one of these plus signs will expand the tab to give you more information. You can also access online help by choosing the online support option. This opens up about help in your web browser at Adobe's website and you have top support issues, you can also enter information in either search field, get downloads and updates and so on. Another option that you have is, choosing Acrobat online, you can also register your product through this menu. And I'm just going to click the Acrobat online option, and here you have information about the Acrobat family from Adobe's website, and also in here, somewhere if you do little bit of searching and browsing, you can find some interesting tutorials. There's something else you can access from the help menu, and it's a powerful new feature of Acrobat, is the detect and repair command. If you notice that Acrobat starts running slowly on you or you are not able to do what you used to do in Acrobat, you can use this detect and repair command and that will launch the Acrobat installer, and I am just going to cancel out of this because this is a relatively fresh install, but it will review your installation and repair any problems that you have within Acrobat and get you back up and running to snuff within no time flat. And those are just a few of the things you can do to access online help, when you don't have your VTC CD-Rom in your CD-Rom tray or you don't have access to VTC tutorials online.
