After you create a PDF document in Acrobat by combining multiple files, or create a PDF document in another application by converting a document, you can edit it within Acrobat as you have seen in previous lessons and you can also touch up objects in the document. In Acrobat Standard, you have a touch up text tool and in Acrobat Professional, You have a touch up text tool and a touch up object tool. These are found on the advanced editing tool bar and I've got this button expanded, and when I select the touch up text tool and click a text object It will select an entire block of text and I can now edit the text by adding text or selecting text and deleting it. And once I've edited text I can then select it and right click on a Windows machine, or control click on a Macintosh machine, choose properties and then I can change several different things. I can change the font, I can embed the font or I can embed a sub set of the font, which will embed the characters used in the text I've selected. I can change the font size, spacing between characters, spacing between words. I could change the horizontal scaling of the text. I could change the fill, which will change the fill color, and I can change the stroke width, and I can change the offset. And when I click close and select my hand tool, you see the changes have been applied and in Acrobat Professional you also have a touch up object tool, which will enable you to edit and touch up graphic objects in the document. For example, if I click this image, it is selected, I can now move it throughout the document and if I right click on a Windows machine, or control click on a Macintosh machine, I have options from the context menu. I can cut, which will cut the selected image to the system clip board, copy the image to the system clipboard. If I do that and now I right click, I can paste it And have another instance in the document. I could choose delete clip, and what this option does is it will delete any objects that are clipping the selected object. For example if you modify the size of the text object, and some of the characters are clipped, choosing this command reveals the clipped text. I can also create an artifact and when I create an artifact this creates an element for a tagged document. And I can also choose edit image and when I choose edit image, this will open up Adobe Photoshop if you have it on your system, in the case of an image or if it is a vector object it will open up Adobe Illustrator. These are just a couple of ways you can further edit your PDF documents.
