Interface / Zooming
Subtitles of the Movie
You might want to zoom in into a particular area of your document and Acrobat gives you many different tools to achieve that goal. One of them is to select the zoom tool - that's this magnifying glass icon right here, click on it to select it, then move into your document and click with your mouse. You can see I am zooming in; if you hold down the option key on the Macintosh over the alt key on the pc, your zoom in tool turns into zoom out tool with the small minus in the magnifying glass icon and now we will just zoom out just the opposite. You could also choose that tool from one of the hidden tools available to you right here - so now I have the zoom out the tool. Another way of course to zoom in is to use your different view options - fit width or fit in page is very similar to zooming out in the sense. We could also click on these buttons, which give us another way of zooming in and zooming out - instead of choosing a tool, this actually does the same thing as clicking in your document so the some small circle with the minus is same as the zooming out and as you might guess the circle with the plus in it is the same as the zooming in. You can click in this informational box here which shows us the zoom ratio and simply type in a different zoom ratio. So will type in 111 and click the inner key and zoomed into 111% of the actual size. Notice that there is a triangle icon here, which means that there is a pop up menu and if we click and hold on that, it brings up a list of predefined zoomed percentages - we can simply use one of these to zoom in. And also notice that the bottom of this list are the same options that we have with these other icons - fit in window, actual size and what not. We could also zoom by using one of the menu items under view - zoom in, zoom out and finally as I showed you in an earlier movie, you can use the thumbnail and go and grab the corner handle bar from the small marquee and drag it into where you want to zoom. So this is changing the document view by changing our marquee in the thumbnails. he document view by changing our marquee in the thumbnails.
