I'm Mike Jang and I'll be your guide through the VTC tutorials for the latest version of the Linux Professional Institute Level I Exams revised in 2009. This video provides an overview of the skills you need to pass the Level I Exams, specifically LPIC 101 and 102. As suggested by the name, these exams are affiliated with the Linux Professional Institute. According to LPI, passing these exams qualify you as a Junior Level Linux Professional. With their 2009 revision, LPI has changed the exams to be accessible to a wider audience, including sales staff, management and more. They assume that you've been learning Linux for about a year. While this course can't substitute for real hands-on experience it can and does focus on those skills needed to pass the exam based on the requirements listed at LPI.org. If you know everything on the list associated with Exams 101 and 102, you shouldn't have any problem passing the LPI Exams, and this course is designed to help you get those skills. We cover each and every one of the noted detail objectives at this URL.
