1. The VTC Player requires that QuickTime 6 or higher be installed on your system. To install QuickTime 6, please navigate to:

2. Skip this step and proceed to Step 3 if you don’t have a previous version of the VTC Player already on your system.

If you have a previous version of the VTC Player already on your hard drive, please first delete the old VTC Player from your system before installing the new version. Then, delete the following folders from your system: VTC Preferences Folder, vtc_setup, vtc_demo_setup.

3. Once the VTC Player is decompressed, double click to open it. Click on the "Change Settings" button and a window named "Preferences" will appear. Under “Player Type”, you will have the following options: "Single User CD Player", "Demo Online University", and "Authorized Online University".

If choosing "Single User CD Player", you must have a VTC CD within your CD-ROM drive. By choosing "Demo Online University Player" mode you can connect to the VTC Online University and view the first three chapters of any VTC title, FREE of charge. Registered online subscribers should choose "Authorized Online University Player" mode after entering enter their username and password. Click OK after doing so to view any full length VTC title.

4. Once you've made your type selection, simply click OK to launch the VTC Player. For help navigating within the VTC Player, view the “Question Mark” on the bottom right of the VTC Player interface, or view the “help” movie within the “Help” folder.

* To update the list of titles within the VTC Player, open the “Edit” menu and choose “Preferences”. Click the "Reset Defaults" button on the bottom of the "Preferences" window.

** To improve playback on a Windows XP operating system, do the following:

A) Open your "Control Panel".

B) Click on the "System" icon.

C) Choose the "Advanced" tab within the "System Properties" window.

D) Click the "Settings" tab within "Performance".

E) Select the "Visual Effects" tab within the "Performance Options" window.

F) Select the option "Adjust for best performance".

G) Click "Apply".

H) Click "OK".

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL PLAYER DE VTC

1. El VTC Player requiere que QuickTime 6 o mayor este instalado en su sistema. Para Instalar QuickTime 6, por favor navegué a:

2. Pase este pasó y siga al paso 3 si no tiene aun una versión previa de VTC Player aun en su sistema.

Si tiene una versión previa del Player de VTC en su disco duro, por favor primero borre el antiguo Player de VTC antes de instalar la nueva versión. Luego borre los siguientes fólder de su sistema: VTC Preferences Folder, vtc_setup, vtc_demo_setup.

3. Una vez el Player de VTC es descomprimido, haga doble click para abrirlo. Click en el botón "Change Settings" y en la ventana nombrada "Preferences" aparecerá, en “Player Type”, las siguientes opciones: "Single User CD Player" o "Un solo usuario del CD Player", "Demo Online University o "Demos de la Universidad en Línea" y "Authorized Online University" o "Autorizado para la Universidad en Línea".

Si escoge "Single User CD Player", "Un solo Usuario del CD Player", deberá tener un CD del curso en su reproductor de CD en su computador. Si escoge "Demo Online University Player" o " Demos de Universidad en línea" se podrá conectar a la universidad en línea de VTC y observar los tres primeros capítulos de cada curso " Gratis". Los subscriptores registrados deberán escoger "Authorized Online University Player" o “Player autorizado para Universidad en Línea" luego entre su "username" o “nombre de usuario” y su password o "contraseña". Haga click en OK después de esto y vea todas las películas del curso de VTC escogido.

4. Una vez a decidido sus opciones haga click en OK para ver el Player de VTC en su pantalla. Para ayudas de navegación dentro del Player de VTC, dirijase a “Question Mark” o Signo de Interrogación" (?) abajo a la derecha del Player de VTC o vea el fólder “help” o "Ayuda”.

* Para actualizar la lista de títulos en el Player de VTC. Abra el menú “Edit” escoja “Preferences”. Haga Click en el botón "Reset Defaults" en la parte de abajo de la ventana "Preferences" .

** Para configurar el Sistema Operativo de Windows XP, por favor, Haga lo siguiente

A) Abra el "Control Panel" o "Panel de Control".

B) Click el Icono "System" o "Sistema".

C) Escoja "Advanced" o Opciones Avanzadas" dentro de la ventana de "System Properties" o "Propiedades del Sistema".

D) Click en "Settings" o "Configuraciòn" en la marquilla de "Performance" o "Rendimiento".

E) Seleccione "Visual Effects" o "Efectos Visuales" en la maquilla "Performance Options" o "Opciones de Rendimiento".

F) Seleccione la opción "Adjust for best performance" o "Ajustar para obtener el mejor rendimiento".

G) Haga click en "Apply" o "Aplicar”.

H) Haga click en "OK".
